Getting into a portal
Each platform issues its own credentials. You only set them up once.
- Step 01
Watch for the invitation
When I open a plan or an account, the platform emails you a setup link. It comes from the platform, not from me.
- Step 02
Set your password and second factor
Choose a password you do not use anywhere else, and turn on two factor authentication when it is offered.
- Step 03
Come back here
Bookmark this page and use it as your front door. If a link does not work, tell me and I will resend the invitation.
Security
How I protect your information
- I will never email or call to ask for your password, a login code, or a one time passcode.
- I will never ask you to move money to an account outside your own name.
- Wire instructions are always confirmed by voice with you before anything moves.
- If a message about your money looks unusual, stop and call me at (888) MYADVZR (888-692-3897).
Send documents through the Vault
Email is the wrong place for anything carrying an account number, a Social Security number or a date of birth, and it is the channel someone would imitate to reach you. The Vault inside eMoney is encrypted, and it keeps everything where we can both find it later. Send these there rather than by email or text:
- Tax returns, W-2s, K-1s and 1099s
- Account, retirement plan and pension statements
- Wills, trusts, powers of attorney and beneficiary forms
- Insurance policies and annuity contracts
- Paystubs, mortgage papers and loan documents
- A driver's licence or passport, when a form asks for one
